This is a pre-owned custom hand sewn kilt from the esteemed House of Kilt Making: Geoffrey (Tailor) Highland Crafts (see label & check out the internet). The Material is Pure New Wool and a particularly lovely tartan – woven in rich dark blues and greens with a subtle fine white stripe. If you have priced tartan fabric by the yard from Edinburgh Scotland, you know these are being offered at a very low price. This is a particularly fine kilt, and with the pleats fully opened out at the bottom of this kilt it measures a full 5 yards!  (Pricey!)   The kilt is in excellent condition and well-cared for, from a smoke free pet free home.  I find no holes in either skirt or scarf and there are no spots or signs of wear whatsoever. Length 42" (107cm) long from waist to bottom edge. (Tall) It would be extremely hard to find a pre-owned one of this length. Waist when buckled is apx 40” to 43” adjustable by straps. (102-104cm).    Unwrapped and laid out flat the waistline measures 5 feet long (153 cm) see 6th photo.  Please feel free to ask questions prior to bidding and I am happy to recheck specifics for you. Matching scarf is a full 5 feet long (153cm) and 11 ½” (28.5cm) wide. As is traditional, the front wraps around flat with two leather straps and buckles at the side. (There is hidden Velcro to secure the layer underneath on the side without the buckles) The back half of the kilt has the pleats which have been sewn 8" down flat around hips and bottom area to give a flatter more elegant slender look, and the kilt hangs beautifully.  What an opportunity to celebrate the Scottish Highland Games in style.
