'Vincent' measures 5.25 inches x 7 inches (without fringe) and consists of 20,000 + beads and antique frame. Side 1 shows an interpretation of Van Gogh's 'Self Portrait with Straw Hat'.... 1887. Side 2 recreates a portion of 'Wheat Fields and Cypresses'.... 1889 The interior is lined with 2 colours of silk -- each chosen to bring out the best and most vibrant colours of the beads. There is a small pocket, perfect for a credit card. As well, the purse is signed and dated. How was this beaded without a pattern -- and why? Some computer-generated beadwork patterns are very good, but I find they cannot pick up the subtleties of a painting, nor interpret colours as well as the 'ultimate computer' -- the human eye.
