Nomadic culture had a great influence to Uzbek Applied Art. There were very many of Nomad decorative articles which became very popular for home decoration. Most of Nomads articles have been made from wool and used as decoration for Nomads' yurt. However all Nomads articles , even very small bags and pendants always had their own practical function. This item is a vintage pendant from  Surhandariya region, Uzbekistan. The age of the item is the second part of the 20th century. It is decorated with silk handmade embroidery executed in cross-stitch. The pattern of the embroidery is composed of  stylized ram's horns. Horns is a symbol of courage, strength and protection. The bottom of the item is decorated with beaded tassels and metal ornaments. Stitch: cross. Size: 5'' x 20''Condition: good.
