Burgundy-ish brown was it's first original colours. It is based a bit on the dog-collar, that is why it has the name "Médor" which is a dog's name. It's a true haute couture fashion classic...and this must have been made in the 50s or 60s. There is no damage to the leather , it's still soft and clean without any damges or wear to it. No scratches on the belt's metal parts, a really great piece. <P>27 inches total in length, so it's for a really small waist,..it was custom-made for someone in our family a very long time ago, The regular sized one was too big for her at that time, so this is really a small waist-ed one, all original and authentic, marked and signed.
