Since 1976 the Ready to Wear range has been owned by Hermes which has increased their distribution without diminishing their distinctly English qualities. The shoes that you are bidding on were made exclusively in London in the tradition of fine bench-made shoes. They are a beautiful acquisition for a lifetime to come. The ‘Bloomsbury’ is part of John Lobb’s Classic range. The oxford is considered the epitome of style, and this particular shoe is an exceptional example. It is a one eyelet oxford with decorative stitching on the facings and vamp. The lining is 100% leather and the sole is rubber embossed with the JL insignia. The inner lining shows these shoes to be UK 11.5 E and the last is 8000, please know your size before ordering. The shoes are new, never worn and are in beautiful condition. Feel free to ask me any questions about them before purchasing. In order to maintain their impeccable reputation, the inspection process that JL shoes must go through is far more rigorous than most other companies. As such, the tiniest flaw can result in the lining being stamped with the letter 'R', as in this case. There is a minor gluing blemish where the sole connects to the right shoe, as you can see in the 5th photo. It is not noticeable when wearing the shoe however, it does account for the shoes being stamped ‘R.’ Luxury yellow JL dust bag for each shoe is included.
