OOAK FLAPPER CLOCHE HAT VINTAGE 20s FRENCH LACE FLORAL Start Price USD 95.00 Current Price USD 95.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, August 29, 2008 End Time Monday, September 08, 2008 Location Chicago See more about 'OOAK FLAPPER CLOCHE HAT VINTAGE 20s FRENCH LACE FLORAL' Description OOAK FLAPPER CLOCHE HAT VINTAGE 20's INSPIRED FRENCH LACE FLORAL How one-of-a-kind divine this hat is...a lovely natural woven straw hat, which was inspired by the fashion of a 1920's flapper girl.  I designed the most unusual style to the brim with black straw piping in double rows sweetly trimming the edge.  I created a unique flapper point back brim with an arched fold over front.  To make this hat lovingly stand out from the crowd, I hand cut some vintage 1920's black French lace into appliques and placed them onto the the front brim and onto the back crown and brim...giving this hat an exquisitely beautiful look.  The lace has a finely knotted design within the black outlines, as you can see in the closeup...it's fabulous for the eyes to view.  To finish off the design...I made a wondrous large black silk organza flower and added some shimmering organza petals in between to give this floral beauty a bit of glistening.  I centered the flower with a black silk brocade button and added some wispy vintage lavender stamens shooting out from the sides, which gives this hat a bit of whimsy.  This hat is absolutely gorgeous in person...the softness of the flower with the bold black lace appliques will surely make this hat a showstopper.  You can easily fold this hat in your luggage, so you can be fashionable while away.  Perfect for a roaring 20's inspired soiree or for a black tie event.  Stand out from the crowd...make a fashion statement all your own wearing this original chapeau.  You can wear this hat different ways...as you can see in the photos below.
