Queen Elizabeth II , H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh and also to H.R.H. Prince of Wales and so represents the epitome of fine bespoke footwear; in 1976 Hermes acquired John Lobb & Co excepting the bespoke operation at St James and so broadened  the Lobb brand name through its ready made range of shoes at Lobb Westminster works in Northampton where this particular pair were made and John Lobb is still widely recognized as an elite top end shoe brand in the market place today.Due to the time consuming process for handmade shoes productivity still only runs to around 100 pairs per day.This is a really wonderful and versatile shoe; it  is made from the very finest parisian brown museum calf leather, the model is "Edward", being an elegantly styled loafer with plain vamp they have Goodyear stitched & welted leather soles with concealed channel and bevelled waist as are all shoes from their "prestige collection. These shoes are at the extreme top end of John Lobb range and ideal for either formal of smart  leisure wear.
