The plaid (pronounced "played") is in excellent shape with no stains, rips, tears, or repairs. The worsted wool color is "bright." A Piper's full plaid is a length of 9 yard tartan material which is wrapped around the chest, over the left shoulder and allowed to hang to the middle of the left calf. The material is pinned together, at the left shoulder, with a brooch. This hanging tartan takes on the look of a tartan cape. Full piper's plaids are worn by the Scottish regiments when they are in full military dress attire. The Piper's Full Plaid is 114" long. A simple brooch is included in the price.
