One could wear it Christmas Caroling! It is size 10 12 or 14. The gown is made from three kinds of fabric all perfectly matched.  The bodice, over bustle and upper layer of the train are all of a mid weight upholstery paisley print with the burgundy, muted turquoise, and medium pink. The second fabric is a heavy velveteen which is a muted burgundy with a lovely full pile, which is the bodice inset, the collar, sleeve cuffs, the heavy train and the back of the over  bustle.  The medium turquoise or teal bengaladine is the skirt and the hand covered buttons. All fabrics were used to enhance each other and are period correct. The great part of the design of this gown is the train and over bustle have unusual folding over hems of all the bustle pieces as to contrast with itself and make every element pop! Also, the hand made hand sewn on leaves with the covered buttons adds uniqueness to this one of a kind gown.  The skirt is pleated to waist in the back and is appropriate for many eras of fashion. The measurements are Bodice-Bust 41”, waist 34”, armhole 18”, Upper arm radius 12”, the underskirt  waist is 34” but can be easily taken out, waist to hem 43”, but has 3” more folded under.
