This is a gorgeous black cotton blend bodice trimmed with black and white lace. The underskirt and upper sleeves are a black and white check cotton blend. The overskirt and lower sleeves are a black lace. There is a front button closure. The skirt has some misprints which look like black smears on the white checks, but mostly they are hidden under the black lace. This is super long and will drag the floor when walking. It is incredibly beautiful! It should be worn with a 4 or 5 hoop underskirt. The measurements are taken with the dress laid flat and measured across. The dress is pinned to the mannequin which is why it looks smaller. This is a women's size XL. Please READ THE MEASUREMENTS above the pictures! I do not sell hoop skirts or victorian/civil war crinolines. You can purchase those at a formal/bridal/prom shop or elsewhere on ebay. Sizing varies between pattern companies just as it does between name brand clothing. That is why I use my own size chart. I urge you to check your measurements.
