The umbrellas were purchased at an estate sale and we were not able to find out specifically when or where they were made, nor specifically what the material is. As found this umbrella has the material pulled loose from the rib, affecting the two adjacent sections, and their edge binding as seen in one of the photos.  The shaft is wood, and there are several places where the finish has flaked / chipped off.  The tip was off of that rib when I first opened it.  I set it back in place for the photo.  The umbrella is being offered as found / as described with respect to these issues.  The umbrella opens and closes properly. The umbrella is about 32" in diameter when open and it is about 24" in overall length. The umbrella has a red woven loop cord that can be used for hold or hanging.  The shaft is made of wood .  The ornate handle appears to be brass or brass plated.  There is a little wear on the finish as seen so I thought perhaps the latter, but I do not know for sure.  The handle seems to made of a fairly transparent red-orange plastic with streaks of darker color at various places throughout.   The handle tested negative for bakelite.  The tip is made of the same plastic.
