Hold the micro ring near the scalp and continue to pull the threading loop until it is no longer attached. The threading loop has been removed leaving the hair threaded through the link and held with one hand near the scalp. Leave a short distance(0.5cm) between the scalp and the link for free movement of the natural hair. Using the pliers fix firmly clamp the link closed. When you had it fixed, the extension should lay flat against the head.
